A number of people were injured when the vicinity of Erbil International Airport in northern Iraq was targeted by a number of missiles.
The Iraqi News Agency "INA" quoted a security source in northern Iraq as saying that Erbil International Airport was targeted by two missiles, one of which landed on a residential area near the airport, while another source stated that a number of rockets were fired towards the city of Erbil and its suburbs, where they fell on many sites and according to preliminary information There are a number of wounded, indicating that the concerned authorities are still continuing their follow-up and investigations in this regard.
Other sources also confirmed that the missile targeting in the vicinity of Erbil airport led to injuries and material damage, indicating that one of the missiles landed near the Naz City residential complex near the airport, noting that the airport was closed as a precaution.
An Iraqi security source announced earlier that three mortar shells had landed in the vicinity of Erbil International Airport in northern Iraq.
