Three criminals who had stolen a woman's backpack in Villa Celina, La Matanza district, were caught by neighbors,
who, tired of the insecurity, stripped them naked and threw them out of the neighborhood.
It happened after thieves robbed and beat a woman on the corner of Ugarte and Giribone streets.
Once the crime was committed,
the victim activated a neighborhood alarm that is heard throughout the 27 blocks of the entire area.
It was there that a group of neighbors managed to capture the young men
(witnesses say they would be between 13 and 16 years old)
to take off their clothes and return the assaulted woman's belongings.
The criminals ran through the streets naked, followed by enraged neighbors.
When they came across a police cell phone, they asked the officers to take them, so they are still in detention.
Neighbors say that the entire area is impassable due to the amount of robberies.
"You cannot go out in the morning, in the afternoon, at night. We need more security, more patrol cars. We cannot go out," said a woman in dialogue with the TN channel.
"In less than three days we had seven robberies,"
added the woman to illustrate the situation of insecurity in the neighborhood.
He also explained that the alarm and cameras are the way they can defend themselves against repeated robberies.
José, another of the neighbors, said that the local police station has only two patrol cars and that they are in poor condition: "There is no ill will on their part, they do what they can, but they do not have the tools to act.
So we have to take care of ourselves among us".
Regarding the attitude of taking the robbers' clothes, the man said that it was like a lesson: "
We did it so that they would be ashamed, so that they would not want to come here anymore."
On that same corner of Ugarte and Giribone, last Saturday there was an assault on a policeman who was in civilian clothes and who was shot several times in the head, although the shots did not come out.
It happened at 11:20 pm when the noncommissioned officer, who was on duty and in civilian clothes, parked his silver-gray Volkswagen Bora a hundred meters from his property.
At that moment, a group of hooded and armed robbers got out of another vehicle, a Peugeot, and forced him to descend with fists, kicks and butts of gun to the body.
When he realized that the victim was a policeman, one of the assailants shot him several times in the head, without the bullet coming out.
Eventually, the thieves got away with the cash weapon, his cell phone, his wallet, and his car.
