"Anything but funny" - this is how a master brewer from Upper Franconia describes his situation due to the Corona policy in Bavaria.

Pretzfeld - Mike Schmitt, beer brewer from Upper Franconia, is getting emotional.
“Do you even know what's going on with us?” He asks in a video published on Instagram.
It's about the current corona policy in Bavaria - and the associated situation of his brewery Nikl Bräu in the Forchheim district.
“Actually, the shop is going well,” explains Schmitt in the video.
But “with the whole Corona *” the situation is now “anything but funny”.
His operation in Pretzfeld, which is about 45 kilometers from Nuremberg *, is considered a mixed operation.
For many Corona aid, he therefore does not fit into the grid.

The master brewer directs his anger at politicians.
“I now want to know specifically: Scholz, Altmaier, Söder, Merkel - how should this shit go on?” He becomes clear.
He is also angry that the company had worked out a “super hygiene concept” and now has to remain closed anyway.
“I would like to know how you imagine it - how we should pay it.
We are a small company, ”says Schmitt.
With every sentence in the approximately three-minute long video, he looks even more agitated.
"We have basic monthly costs of over 10,000 euros - without staff," he explains.
A little to-go operation and the sale of bottled beer could not offset the high costs.

The desperate master brewer made a request to all spectators.
“I hope a lot of people will share the video.
Maybe a Scholz, Söder or Altmaier will see it one day, ”he says.
What is currently happening is "madness" and "an outrage".
Incidentally, Schmitt has already received a statement of solidarity - but not from Angela Merkel * or Markus Söder.
Last Sunday (February 14th) around 25 farmers from the region made their way to his brewery with tractors and combine harvesters to buy beer.
