This, too, is a way of emotionally parting from the ex:

Who among us does not have the same beloved or ex-lover, who broke our heart and shattered it to pieces?

Such that only after a few months of mourning and weeping bitterly while licking ice cream on the couch were we able to overcome them?

The San Antonio Zoo in Texas has found a particularly original way to overcome separation from the ex - and yes, also add cynical revenge along the way.

Whether it's an ingenious marketing act or a genuine desire to help people "release" their previous relationships, the zoo has announced that visitors can now call the cockroaches and rats the garden feeds its animals on - the names of people they dislike.

This is a second event organized by the zoo to raise money, and is named 'Cry Me A Cockroach'.

Event attendees can call, for a token five dollars, cockroaches, rats or the vegetable used as animal food - after the person they choose.

If you want to invest a little more - you can buy a rat for $ 25, which unfortunately will also be used for food by garden animals.

Whether you will be surprised or not, the most popular name given so far to cockroaches and rats at the San Antonio Zoo was none other than - Donald.

Presumably in the name of outgoing President Trump.

The most popular vegetable among the vegetables on the other hand was "Rodney".

The idea for the event as well as the fundraising through it began in 2019, and even then it became a huge success when 5,000 people bought the "right" to call cockroaches and rats by the names of the people they hate most of all.

The zoo also uploaded special videos with the animals enjoying the cockroaches and rats given to them.

Zoo President and CEO Tim Morrow sees the event as both an opportunity to “close accounts” with a person and also help feed the animals: “We are very excited to return this year with this incredibly popular fundraising day.

The event also gives our customers a chance to close an account with a person who has wronged them, as well as feed our animals and take care of the zoo.

"Insects and rats die and are pre-frozen, and are part of our animals' regular menu," he said.

Proceeds from this year's fundraising will go toward building a new and improved Jaguar habitat, as well as better repair and organization of the 56-acre garden trail that houses more than 3,500 animals from 750 different species.

In conclusion, some will raise an eyebrow at the rather sadistic venture, admittedly, but there is no doubt that this is a particularly original venture.
