Many soldiers had to huddle in the cold and rain for long hours at the Zrifin base, in order to get vaccinated against Corona, due to a lack of preparedness for harsh weather conditions and real chaos, which only intensified in light of the severe weather.

Soldiers who turned to "Israel Today" angrily accepted that the immunization was being carried out in a disorderly manner and without regard to the fact that they had to wait for long hours, regardless of the weather.

"It's crazy. Hundreds of soldiers from all units arrived at the same time and everyone stood in line, without anyone running it in an orderly fashion. There were eight vaccination stations in some small tent, and a line of hundreds of people on their way to them. A real corona incubator," a female soldier told " Israel today".

"People stood there for three and a half hours in the rain and got really wet. They wanted to be spacious because of the corona, but there was nowhere to relax because there was one small awning. It was a nightmare. People stood in the flood from 4pm to 7pm and no one told them "You can go home. Just bring a few umbrellas. They knew there would be a storm and still organized only one gazebo, which is certainly not enough for hundreds of people. Arrange accordingly, set up a normal vaccination complex."

Even without rain, the soldiers say, the vaccination complex was run in chaos.

"This is not the first time I have heard complaints, people talking about a crazy queue and waiting for hours upon hours. Making fun of people. Some brothers and sisters stood and vaccinated and outside a queue of hundreds. Look at how fast citizens are stored, and here the number of positions compared to the number of people is abnormal. "Anyone who believes in the vaccine and wants it will be motivated to stand in line, but there are plenty of soldiers who are not interested in them. I know many soldiers who made a U-turn because they gave up on the line."

The soldiers wondered if tomorrow (Wednesday) hundreds of people would be required to get vaccinated, despite the severe weather that is expected to prevail across the country.

Following Israel Today's request, the IDF announced that the vaccination day had been canceled.
