Australian researchers have developed a new test that can help fight skin cancer through immunotherapy, which is based on testing protein levels in cancer cells.

In their study, the researchers used tumor and blood samples collected from skin cancer patients before and after treatment to gain a better understanding of the role of the "LC3B" protein in metastatic melanoma and to develop a prototype test.
