Formerly beauticians, now winter service: Christine Pathisch unexpectedly ended up in a male job.

And she really enjoys it.

Geretsried

- If you saw Christine Pathisch in front of you, you would never get the idea that she is at home in men's jobs - and that she feels right at home.

In summer, the petite woman helps her husband in the family business with paving stones, in winter she clears paths and spaces with the snow plow in front of the wheel loader.

The 30-year-old comes from completely different professions: “I have learned three professions,” she lists, “butcher shop, hospitality specialist and beautician.” So nothing that has anything to do with the current services.

However, that does not mean that she was not interested in technology and construction.

Husband Christian also noticed this when he met the young woman, who was still living in Upper Franconia at the time, via Facebook.

The 40-year-old laughs.

"We practically had our first date at the hardware store."

Familiar with the vehicle, which weighs tons

In November 2019 Christine Wegisch moved to her future husband in Geretsried, not even a year later the couple said yes.

“And she got involved in the company right from the start, wherever she could,” enthuses Christianpfadisch.

In other words, she also learned how to drive a wheel loader and use it for various tasks.

“First I cleared a meadow as a test,” she says.

In the meantime she feels so comfortable on the heavy vehicle that her husband Christian is hardly allowed to sit behind the wheel himself.

"Now I'm driving," she says and with a practiced hand steers the vehicle, which weighs tons, across the parking lot and between the cars parked here.

Forwards, backwards, turning, lowering the snow plow - no problem.

It is seven in the morning and the job that has just been completed is not the first of her working day: “We got up at two,” she says.

“We started in Ebenhausen.

After all, we have to be finished before, for example, the companies start and their employees arrive. ”In addition to private households, the Maschinenring Wolfratshausen is a major client.

One thing bothers the 30-year-old this winter.

She points to the manageable Schneeberg, which she has pushed aside.

“Definitely too little,” she says and laughs.

"I'm used to different things."
