Deir Ezzor-Sana
The Arab Cultural Center in Deir Ezzor is currently showing its viewers the feature-length fictional film, Damascus Aleppo, starring the great artist Duraid Lahham, directed by Basil Al-Khatib, and produced by the General Foundation for Cinema.
The screening of the film comes within the activities of the Syrian Cinema Days, which were launched in the cultural centers in the cities of Deir Ezzor, Hasaka and Qamishli.
Director of Culture in Deir Al-Zor Ahmed Al-Ali said in a statement to SANA that the event comes within the framework of the efforts made to restore life to the cultural movement in the city and to attract the public to return to watching cinematic works, especially since the governorate has been missing galleries for more than ten years.
Al-Ali indicated that the event, which continues until Thursday, includes two shows daily, morning and evening, in addition to the Damascus Aleppo movie, and the films "Blood of Palm" will be shown, the judiciary response directed by Najdah Ismail Anzour, and a solo performance by director Abdul Latif Abdel Hamid.
A number of attendees praised this event, which the governorate has missed for years, stressing that cinema is one of the arts that carries an artistic, cultural and patriotic message and enjoys great follow-up and passion among the cultural audience.
