This year's Lunar New Year "Nuan Li Li" in Hong Kong, yesterday (15th) passed the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, the warmest on record.

The Observatory predicts that under the influence of a dry northeast monsoon, the coast of Guangdong will be windy in the next two or three days and it will be cool in the morning.

The monsoon is expected to ease from the weekend to the beginning of next week, and the weather in southern China is generally fine and warm during the day.

However, it is expected to be cloudy with rain in the middle of next week, and next Friday (26th) will be the 15th Lantern Festival of the first month.

The 9-day weather forecast of the Observatory is temporarily until next Thursday (25th). It is expected that it will be mostly cloudy on the eve of the New Year’s Eve, with one or two rain patches, and it may be difficult for the public to enjoy the moon.

Yesterday, the Observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius, the hottest fourth day in the history of the Lunar New Year, while it was even higher at 28 degrees Celsius in many areas such as Tai Mei Tuk and Sheung Shui.

Today, the weather in Hong Kong continued to be generally fine and dry with moderate easterly winds.

The Observatory looks forward to strong winds in the next two or three days, cool in the morning and dry during the day.

Affected by the monsoon, the weather in Hong Kong will turn cooler on Thursday (18th) and Friday (19th), and the wind will be relatively strong. On Thursday, offshore winds will blow at level 6 with an average wind speed of 41 to 51 kilometers per hour. , That is, the wind force of Typhoon No. 3 has been reached.

The Observatory is expected to be generally fine and dry for two days, and cool in the morning.

The lowest temperature on both days was 16 degrees. Sheung Shui is expected to be as low as 13 degrees, and Ta Kwu Ling is expected to be only 12 degrees, reaching a cold level.

The Observatory expects that the monsoon will ease from the weekend to the beginning of next week, and the weather in southern China will be generally fine and warm during the day.

The Observatory predicts that next Wednesday and Thursday (25th) will also be roughly cloudy with one or two rain showers; the temperature will range from 17 to 21 degrees and 18 to 22 degrees respectively.

Next Thursday is the eve of the Lantern Festival. However, under cloudy and rainy weather, it may be difficult for citizens to enjoy the moon.

According to the Observatory’s extended forecast, the highest temperature during the Lantern Festival next Friday (26th) will be about 21 to 23 degrees, and the lowest temperature will be about 16 to 18 degrees. The weather is cooler. If you want to enjoy the moon, you should remember to wear more clothes.
