The Syrian ambassador to Iran, Dr. Shafiq Dioub stressed the importance of scientific cooperation between the Syrian and Iranian universities in the advanced scientific, technological and qualitative specializations and scientific research fields in order to enhance the scientific and developmental structure in the two friendly countries by linking scientific and technological research with the national production wheel.
During his meeting today with Dr. Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Associate for International Affairs at the Islamic Azad University of Iran, Ambassador Diop pointed out the importance of benefiting from experiences and exchanging them between the universities of the two countries, again stressing that cooperation in scientific fields is one of the priorities of the Syrian Arab Republic with the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressing Syria’s readiness to cooperate with the University of Iran. Azad to serve the educational, scientific and academic sector in Syria.
For his part, Dr. Boroujerdi praised the scientific and academic cooperation with the Syrian universities, stressing that the Islamic Azad University will spare no effort in transferring its scientific and research expertise and achievements to brotherly and friendly Syria, especially in the field of new biotechnology due to its importance in strengthening the scientific and research structure.
The meeting also dealt with exchanging experiences and joint research, students and faculty members, and increasing scholarships for Syrian students in specific majors.
