It will not be another date in the history of Facundo Campazzo in the NBA.
The Argentine point guard achieved another achievement in his still
fledgling career
in the most competitive basketball league in the world, entering,
for the first time, as a starter in the Denver Nuggets
.
The milestone for the statistics occurred at 21 on Tuesday
- Argentine time - when his franchise began to face the Boston Celtics, at the legendary TD Garden stadium in that city.
He was not the only one.
The Argentine point guard contributed 15 points in the visitor loss 112-99.
The number equaled his highest scoring mark, which he had already achieved twice: against the Minnesota Timberwolves in January and against the Los Angeles Lakers in his previous game.
Campazzo achieved
other personal records: he achieved 8 assists
and also surpassed his best performance in minutes played, with 39 minutes and 32 seconds on the court, almost 13 minutes more than his previous statistical record.
In addition, he added
three rebounds, two steals, a cover, two triples
of six attempted and a 41.7% effectiveness in his shots.
He also had a loss and was charged three personal fouls.
Campazzo
had already played what had been his previous best game
in the NBA
in the early hours of Monday, when the Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 122 to 105 in Denver, a resounding victory against the reigning league champions that counts in Lebron James and Anthony Davis as one of the most dominant pairs of today.
The Argentine point guard
had also contributed 15 points
, four assists, two steals and a rebound in nearly 26 minutes and 46 seconds on the court in that
key victory
, the third in a row for the Nuggets.
The mini-streak was cut against the Celtics.
With the result against Boston this Tuesday, Denver has a record of 15 wins and 12 losses and is seventh in the Western Conference table.
For Campazzo it was
the third time he had scored so many points: he
had reached against the Minnesota Timberwolves in January and against the Lakers on Monday, when he left a luxurious
no-look pass
-assisting without looking at the receiver- to remember.
In the third quarter of the game against Boston, the Denver point guard made his most showy play of the day, with
a steal that ended up turning into a double
in a furious counterattack.
