Accordingly, the fire occurred around half past three in the night.

The fire cut off the residents' escape routes, according to the fire brigade.

The strong smoke development moved up both the stairwell and the facade.

Together with additional forces, the crews of three fire brigades from the professional fire brigade and the Freimann, Oberföhring and Stadtmitte departments of the Munich Fire Department took numerous respiratory protective devices in parallel to fighting the fire and rescuing people in the building.

Of those rescued, around three, some seriously injured, had to be cared for by medical personnel and 25 had to be looked after in the fire brigade's large / rescue bus, the fire brigade announced.
