Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov announced that his country is ready for dialogue with the United States, but Washington must realize that it will not be possible to hold talks with Russia from a position of pressure.
In an interview with Sputnik, Ryabkov pointed out that “so far, only initial contacts have taken place between officials in the two countries, and we do not have a comprehensive picture of what the Americans want from our relations, what they are prepared for, and what the current White House team is preparing to preserve from the legacy of the previous two administrations.”
