Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently promoting a government program to promote high-tech in Arab society.
The program includes the development of high-tech-oriented human capital, integration in the employment of the industry, promotion of entrepreneurship and high-tech development in local authorities and promotion of high-tech leadership and culture in Arab society.
In recent years, the government has worked to promote socio-economic development in Arab society, actions that have created a positive trend of promoting and integrating society members into the high-tech industry.
At the same time, the proportion of Arabs out of all engineers employed in high-tech is only about 3% and the number of entrepreneurs and high-tech companies in Arab society is small in relation to the proportion of Arab citizens in the population.
In order to reduce the gaps and address the basic problems and barriers to the advancement of high-tech in Arab society, it was decided to establish a government team that will work in cooperation with the Committee of Heads of Arab Authorities and include various government bodies.
The team will formulate a proposal for a multi-year plan on the subject, which will be submitted to the government for approval.
