An app from the Loisachstadt is supposed to bring together financially strong companies and non-performing clubs.

The need is there, without a doubt.

Wolfratshausen

- The corona pandemic is shaking many clubs financially.

More than ever, volunteers are dependent on donations and sponsoring.

Two young entrepreneurs and their team want to build a bridge between financially strong companies and suffering clubs.

The developers of the anooah app have made it their goal to ensure a transparent and democratic distribution of donations.

The concept, which will soon be tried out in the district, is simply explained: companies that want to donate money pay into one pot.

Non-profit associations can apply for sponsorship and present their projects that they would like to realize with the cash injection.

The app operators select a few promising projects from all applications.

Then the citizens come into play: Smartphone users can vote for the clubs via the anooah app.

After a voting phase of around two or three weeks, the donation will be distributed proportionally according to the election results.

“In the end we have a win-win situation,” explains Jessica Westermann.

The 26-year-old is part of the app's development team.

“The associations receive grants, everything is completely transparent and the companies achieve an advertising effect with their donation,” she says.

If the app is used extensively, "we network the companies with citizens and associations in the region," explains the Wolfratshauser.

Anyone who votes for an association project "becomes a brand ambassador for the traders".

In addition, companies can use the app to guide people into their shops: Via so-called “spots” that are booked by traders, it is possible for citizens to vote several times if they are in the vicinity of the shop.

“A good opportunity to lure citizens into the shops,” says the founder.

The founding team is looking for traders

The app is financed by the participating companies.

"The donation goes completely into the funding pot," says Westermann, "but the entrepreneurs pay a percentage on top with which we finance ourselves".

For example, if you want to donate 700 euros, you pay 70 euros to the developers.

Up to a donation of 5,000 euros, the percentage is ten, for higher donations it is 7.5 percent.

A receipt is issued for the donated sum, which brings tax advantages for the company.

The founding team is currently looking for interested traders and associations so that the first election period can begin.

"Every company should donate at least 250 euros, if we have over 5000 euros in the pot, we can start," explains the 26-year-old.

She is convinced that the app can make an important contribution: “Not only since Corona have many clubs have financial worries and find it difficult to find potential sponsors - we want to help them and ensure that the money is fair with the voting can be distributed and projects can be implemented.
