The Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, approved the recommendation of the Economic Committee to ratify the contract between the Damascus Governorate and the Military Construction Execution Corporation, Damascus Branch, to implement the maintenance project of expansion joints on the southern ring from node 6 to node 8.
The director of technical studies in the governorate, Eng. Muammar Al-Dakkak, stated in a statement to the representative of SANA that the first phase of the project will be to maintain the route of the road coming from Mezzeh towards Damascus International Airport, and it includes replacing the neoprene supports that are under prizes and resting on the pillars and then replacing the 60 expansion joints.
Al-Dakkak indicated that the value of the contract amounts to one billion and 621 million Syrian pounds for the first phase, as work will be started in the coming days by the Military Construction Execution Corporation, Damascus Branch, pointing out that work on the road route from Damascus International Airport towards Mezze will start as a second phase later after the completion The first stage.
