Despite strict Corona rules, hundreds of people in Amsterdam met for an ice cream party on frozen water.
Several videos on the net show how they dance and party close together without masks.
Amsterdam - The pictures were reminiscent of the masses of tourists in Germany's snowy regions.
But it also looks a bit like in the time before the pandemic.
Hundreds of people stood close to each other on a frozen body of water in Amsterdam last week and celebrated a wild ice-cream party - and that despite the strict corona rules in the Netherlands.
Ice cream party in Amsterdam: people disregard corona rules
The Dutch authorities had previously warned citizens not to enter frozen lakes and bodies of water because the ice was not stable enough in many places.
But many people didn't seem to care.
As
De Telegraaf
reports, hundreds of citizens met in Maastricht, Limburg, Amsterdam and Tilburg to celebrate Carnival.
Despite the warnings, many partiers and ice skaters also went to frozen lakes.
Some broke in and had to be pulled out of the ice-cold water by rescue workers.
In addition, according to
De Telegraaf,
many skaters suffered injuries from falls and the like.
Spontaneous parties formed in public almost everywhere in the country.
The local hygiene regulations were negligently ignored.
The police asked the people to break up the gatherings.
However, many party guests ignored this request, so that in Maastricht, for example, there were evictions by the police.
A video on the Twitter platform shows how carefree people are celebrating and not following the Corona regulations.
Happening now in Amsterdam.
Just people having a great time and enjoying life.
Remember that?
