The court of cassation does not judge the substance of the case, only interested in the form.
If she decides to overturn the judgment of the Assize Court, which on February 17 sentenced Georges Tron to five years in prison, two of which were suspended and his former assistant Brigitte Gruel to two years in prison for "rape" and “Sexual assault”, a new trial will have to be held.
Otherwise, the decision will become final.

"Moral constraint"
The Tron case began in May 2011, when two former employees of the town hall of Draveil, Virginie Ettel and Éva Loubrieu, filed a complaint against Georges Tron and Brigitte Gruel.
Acquitted at first instance, the latter were this time found guilty of "rape" and "sexual assault" on one of the two plaintiffs, Virginie Ettel.
The court found in particular that the defendants had exerted a

"the doubt did not benefit the accused",
immediately imprisoned in the prison of Health at the end of the hearing.
