The Directorates of Child Culture and Culture in Lattakia today honored the winners of the annual literary and artistic competitions for children and the children of martyrs and people with disabilities for the year 2020 from Lattakia's children and residents.

The honor, which came as part of a celebration held at Dar Al-Assad for Culture in the city, entitled "Childhood and Creativity", which included about a hundred male and female children who won in the fields of "painting, calligraphy, photography, poetry, story and essay" divided into age groups from seven to eighteen.

The ceremony included two exhibitions of the winning children’s works and a book in a newspaper produced by children and adolescents ’work within the Life Skills Program, in addition to an exhibition of wood mosaic works by artist Raouf Bitar, accompanied by an educational artistic workshop under his supervision.

The ceremony also included artistic and musical performances by the Young Boys Choir from the “Ed in Hand” Center of the Patriarch of Antioch and the rest of the East for the Greek Orthodox Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development under the supervision and training of Maestro Elias Samaan and Elia Shriqi, in addition to folk dancing paintings produced by the Life Skills Program with the participation of the Jafra Dance Theater Company.

The Director of Child Culture in the Ministry, Malek Yassin, indicated in a statement to SANA's correspondence that the ministry is keen to honor the child within his governorate and among his family and companions for what gives him the motivation and motivation for more creativity and distinction, indicating that the celebration that the ministry holds every year comes as the outcome of a project for a whole year with children Through the continuous support for their talents and creativity and keenness to develop them through literary and artistic workshops, which enjoy a great participation of children, through which they present a remarkable level for which they are honored and prizes.

The honored children expressed their happiness with the honor, which constitutes an incentive to provide the best. Mirian, the daughter of the martyr Basil Saleh (15 years), the winner of the first prize in the line and the first in the story in the Sons of the Martyrs competition, expressed her happiness in honoring and inviting all children to pay attention to their talents and develop and develop them to be distinguished, which was shared by Masa daughter The martyr Samaan Masoud (12 years) and the third prize winner in poetry, for her poem “My Blue Pen,” through which she expressed her love for science and the Arabic language.

As for the child Amani, daughter of the martyr Sakher Bilal, who is nine years old from Aleppo and resides in Lattakia, she found honoring her first prize in drawing as a way to express her feelings and show her talent, expressing her hope to become an artist in the future.
