The investigating judge in charge of the Maëlys case, in which Nordhal Lelandais is indicted for murder, has completed her investigation, the Grenoble prosecutor's office announced on Thursday (February 18th).
The investigation chamber had requested a new psychiatric expertise from Nordhal Lelandais, and the arrival of this last document allows justice to complete the investigation of this case with strong media coverage.

The prosecution "
now has one month to reread and analyze the file and send back to the judge its requisitions on the follow-up it intends to give to the procedure.
Within this period, the other parties can send their observations to the judge or formulate requests for an act,
”explained Grenoble prosecutor Eric Vaillant.
Maëlys De Araujo, eight years old, had disappeared during the night of August 26 to 27, 2017 during a wedding in the village hall of Pont-de-Beauvoisin, in Isère.
Quickly suspected, Nordahl Lelandais, a former military dog handler, confessed, six months after his indictment, to have "
the little girl.
He is also indicted for sexual assault on three young cousins and accused of the murder of Corporal Arthur Noyer, for which a trial is scheduled from May 3 to 14 before the Assize Court of Savoy.
