On February 23, Mercedes wants to present the new C-Class at a digital world premiere.

The first pictures suggest: The Swabians want to raise the bar significantly higher for the competition.

Stuttgart - “Upgrade your comfort zone” - this is the slogan that Mercedes uses to advertise its new C-Class.

The mid-range sedan should be "sporty, emotional, efficient and intelligent".

After the digital world premiere on February 23, it will be found out whether the car keeps what the Swabian car manufacturer promises.

Until then, Mercedes is putting off its customers with teaser pictures.

The new Mercedes C-Class could become the toughest competitor for BMW 3-series

With the new Mercedes C-Class of the W206 generation, the Swabian automobile manufacturer has positioned what is probably the most important competitor for the BMW * erer series.

Traditionally, the two top models are a close head-to-head race.

Mercedes wants to convince its customers not only with a new design, but also with new technology and above all comfort.

The teaser pictures shortly before the digital world premiere next week give a first look at the new design.

While only the silhouette of the new C-Class and the T-Model can be seen in the first picture, the second teaser picture gives a clear view of the new LED headlights.

The design of the two-part rear lights is strongly reminiscent of the look of the new Mercedes S-Class.

Another drastic design change concerns the previously exposed position of the Mercedes star.

Instead of the individual equipment variants on the bonnet, as was previously the case, the star will have a permanent place on the front grille of all models.

That doesn't go down well with brand fans.

"It's a shame that there is no longer the star on the hood," writes a user under the video.

Another Mercedes fan wants to draw more drastic consequences: “I'm conservative.

Without the star on the hood, a purchase is out of the question for me.

Then rather the predecessor. "

Mercedes: New C-Class is stylistically based on the flagship

The Stuttgart-based company has not only followed the luxury version of the S-Class * when it comes to the exterior, but also when it comes to the interior.

The interior is technically upgraded by a huge infotainment display in portrait format in the center console.

As standard, the driver and front passenger can operate telephone and audio functions via the A4 size display.

Another display is installed behind the steering wheel.

As

AutoBild

reports, the new cockpit is designed to be more geared towards the driver.

The fully automated parking system of the C-Class offers a further technical upgrade.

With appropriately equipped parking garages, there is the possibility of fully automated parking in and out.

Corresponding tests with the S-Class are already running.

Mercedes: New C-Class will be launched in June

In addition to the technical innovations, the new C-Class boasts a larger trunk.

Instead of the previous 315 to 490 liters, the trunk of the mid-size sedan will in future hold 500 liters.

With the seats folded down even a proud 1,600 liters instead of the previous 1,335 to 1,510 liters.

For the motorization, Mercedes relies on a four-cylinder engine, which is supported by a hybrid plug-in with a range of 70 kilometers.

A C300 comes with electric support to 258 hp with overboast to 285 hp.

A pure electric version is not planned.

In order to reduce consumption somewhat, the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer will be using a 48-volt electrical system in the future.

The C-Class and the popular T-Model will be launched this year.

Next year, the All Terrain, Coupé and SUV variants GLC and GLC Coupé will roll into the showrooms.

The C-Class convertible will finally follow in 2023.
