Sagi Hassan, Private Chef (Elected Studio)

Vegan and vegetarian, sorry.

The following article is not for you.

All other meat lovers, please open diaries.

If you have not yet had an evening of smoked meats, something is completely wrong with you.

Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl. Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl.

What does Omar Adam say?

Take out phones, open up the story.

An experience full of show and meat.

So come on, what are you waiting for?

Chef Sagi Hassan is the rising star of the smoked meat scene that has been conquering Israel in recent years.

From a young age he was attracted to the kitchen and meat.

In the army he served as a cook, at the same time working in various restaurants and in his free time he smoked meats for his enjoyment and researched the subject in depth.

He was inspired by series on meat smoking mainly in the US, did countless experiments and when he experienced up close the meat world while traveling in South America, he knew it would become a profession.

With the outbreak of the corona, Hassan was returned to Israel from South America on a rescue mission, but the plan had already been formulated for him.

The hobby that has become a dream will become a reality.

He renovated the garden at his home in Ashkelon, placed a smoker in it and began hosting diners at his home for events.

The responses were great.

Such an evening, as Hassan suggests, is more than a meal at a restaurant or on the fire with friends.

This is a real show.

Instagram has taken over our lives.

What do we not do for a good picture?

Even eating cannot be started before the dish has been photographed from all angles.

When Instagram meets Hassan's meat and performance, it's already a celebration.

He smokes chunks of brisket (beef breast), ontrib, picania, asado and also chunks of lamb and chicken, cooks mixes and raisins to season the meat and mostly enjoys seeing entertain and pampering.

In recent years, smoked meats have become increasingly popular among Israeli diners.

Pieces that sit for hours inside the smoker with special and changing seasonings and come out soft and fluffy.

Fall off the bone and explode with a taste that no grill in the world can give them.

Smoking meats requires skill, equipment, knowledge, temperature control and most of all experience, but the result is just insane.

For the moment when the slice comes out of the smoker and falls apart from touch it is impossible to remain indifferent.

In South America and the United States, this is a real culture. In Israel, this is a trend that is gaining momentum and in communities that are attracting more and more amateur smokers who exchange tips on social networks. Chef Hassan is a real freak of meat smoking. When the slice comes out, it combines techniques he learned in South America, like Picania Rotisserie, with a lot of South American influences.

Its garden is open, spacious and features an outdoor wooden kitchen.

Waiters walk around the tables, but the real attraction is the meat-cutting show.

Such an evening is planned for about 800 grams of meat per diner and we have not yet talked about free salads, side dishes, main courses, wine and beers.

Now that the guidelines allow, Hassan will return to host open evenings at his home as well as special events for carnivores.

In addition, he also deserves to give his show at your home or yard at your private event.

And it also has a home delivery service for Shabbat meals.

With the reopening, he promises some scary surprises that will make you laugh and new recipes he worked on during the second closure.

"I do it out of love, I like to entertain, I like to let people eat, I like to see the smile after I take out the slice. I aim to give people a different experience than what they knew."

Experience is the key word.

Carnivores, you have suffered enough.

Now is the time to indulge.
