Rape of a 13-year-old from Sharon: Police arrested several boys on suspicion of involvement in the act
The suspects, residents of the northern region, were arrested following progress in investigating a complaint about the gang rape of a girl that took place in the south of the country about a month ago.
The police have not yet decided whether to extend their detention in the Hadera Magistrate's Court

Police announced today (Thursday) that they have arrested several boys from the north on suspicion of involvement in the gang rape of a 13-year-old from the Sharon area.
According to the suspicion, the boys sexually assaulted the girl in an incident that took place about a month ago in the south of the country, while the girl was supposed to be staying in a hostel.
The girl and her family filed a complaint with the police after the incident, and the findings of tests she underwent at Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera confirmed her claims.
Depending on the development of the investigation, the police will decide whether to request an extension of the suspects' detention in the Hadera Magistrate's Court.

The girl has been transferred to an alternative setting since then, but has been absent for an entire morning.
"We have no idea at the moment where she is, and we asked the police and welfare to help us find her," a relative of the minor said.
After a few hours she was found healthy and intact.
The case is being treated and accompanied by welfare services.
The girl was sexually abused in the past, and as a result was transferred to the boarding school where she studies.
However, her mother says that since the incident her condition has deteriorated, and has since asked the social services to refer her from the boarding school to an emergency center for victims of sexual assault, but without an answer.
"She is not a criminal - she is just a girl who has been sexually assaulted several times. She does not receive any treatment"
About two weeks ago, five people were charged with involvement in the rape of a 17-year-old girl in Ashkelon.
The young men - Aharon Moshe Zino, Aviv Ohayon, Yitzhak Maman, Lior Simhon and Daniel Danilov - all in their twenties, are charged with offenses of sodomy in aggravated circumstances and rape.
After the case was reported, two more young women filed a complaint against Zeno on a rape charge.
