The Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior clarified the state of public roads in the governorates as a result of the weather conditions prevailing in the country, pointing out that all roads in the governorates are passable except for some roads in the governorates of Damascus Countryside, Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, Sweida and Quneitra, which are impassable, passable, or impassable with difficulty due to the accumulation or falling of snow.

The Traffic Department stated in its bulletin this evening, which SANA received a copy of, that all roads in the Damascus countryside governorate are passable except for the roads leading to Yabus Kfir Yabus Maadar, Hina Darbal and Arna Road, Durbal Ain Shaara road, Ain Shaara Hina road, Maaloula Jebaden road, the entrance to Jaba'in and Rankous Hosh Arab road All are impassable due to snow accumulation.

The Traffic Department indicated that the road to Hina Moghir Al-Mir and Hina on the farm of Beit Jann is difficult due to the accumulation and falling of snow, and all the roads leading to Rankous and Sednaya district, and the roads leading to Al-Ashair Farm and to Ain Al-Fija are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

The Traffic Department indicated that all roads in Homs governorate are passable, except for the high Shin Baidar road near Ali and the Maqlis al-Mazraa road, the back of Al Qusayr, unimpeded due to the accumulation of snow.

In Hama governorate, all roads are passable except for the Shathah Jouba Burghal road in the Al-Ghab region, the Jorin Slunfeh road, the Ain Al Kroum Slunfeh road, and the Ein Al Krum Al Qarandah highway are all impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

In Lattakia governorate, all roads in the governorate are passable except for Hammam al-Qarahleh Road, Kharayeb in Tatweer, and Beit Yashout Road, which is impassable due to the formation of ice, and the Basta Spring of Al-Khandaq, Al-Hajar, Levin, Al-Baraj and Al-Hajar Road is impassable due to the accumulation of snow, and all roads leading to and from the Slunfah area are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

In Tartous governorate, all roads are passable except for Beit Jash, Masyaf, Sheikh Ali al-Majdal road, al-Froukhaya, al-Tun to Jarrad, New Dararah, and Khirbet al-Sindiyana in al-Anazah sub-district is impassable due to the accumulation of snow. The Traffic Department pointed out that all roads in As-Suwayda governorate are passable except for Al-Suwayda road, Dahr Al-Jabal, Al-Rum dam and roads leading To Al-Mushanf sub-district and its villages, and the roads leading to the Salkhad area, to the Melh district, to Namira, Shahba, and Umm Dhabib Tema, impassable due to the accumulation of snow.

In the Quneitra governorate, all roads in the governorate are passable except for the Damascus-Quneitra highway, the Buriqa road, Bir Ajam, and the Umm al-Azam road, Ruhaina, all of them passable with difficulty due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of dense fog.

The Traffic Department advises drivers to check the technical condition of the vehicle, brakes, tires, windshield wipers and lights, reduce the speed, increase the safety distance, use fog lights, as well as use seat belts and not use a mobile phone while driving in all cases and circumstances to avoid the risks they face on the roads, referring to the allocation of numbers 5422703 and 5411365 for inquiries.
