New York-Sana
The United Nations announced today that $ 4 billion is needed in 2021 to avoid famine in Yemen.
Reuters quoted Mark Lowcock, the humanitarian and emergency relief coordinator at the international organization, as saying that about four billion dollars should be raised in 2021 to fund humanitarian operations, adding that "Yemen is rapidly heading towards the worst famine the world has seen in decades."
The Saudi regime has continued its aggression against Yemen since March 2015, using various types of weapons, which has led to the death and injury of tens of thousands of civilians and massive destruction of the infrastructure.
