Wartenberg has been without a market on the marketplace for months.
Now there are various ideas how that should change.

Wartenberg - The market on the Wartenberg market square is to be revived.
As Mayor Christian Pröbst tells our newspaper, there was an online meeting on Monday evening, in which half of the local council took part.
The majority spoke out in favor of resuscitation.
“From April we want to hold a market every second Saturday of the month and we will be addressing many stand operators about this.
We will also design flyers and posters, ”reports Pröbst.
There has been no such offer for a few months.
“The greengrocer moved to Berglern or Erding.
And the fishmonger only comes on Monday for around 20 minutes, ”says Pröbst, describing the currently quite clear offer.
As reported, the market town tried it with advertisements in its newsletter and in newspapers.
Until the end of January, interested parties who want to sell products in Wartenberg with their stand could contact the municipality.
Over a period of several weeks, ultimately only one interested party contacted us, but a little later he dropped out again.
A result that the market council will not be satisfied with.
Possible courses of action were discussed at the virtual meeting on Monday.
"We can incorporate the district brand 'really erding' and address the farmers directly," says Pröbst.
In order to be successful, he and his fellow councilors can even imagine setting the stand fees to zero for the time being.
The market should take place once a month, every second Saturday of the month.
The start planned for April 10th “has to be something special,” said Pröbst.
It should be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
According to the mayor, the location for this must be well chosen.
Maybe under one roof, the weather shouldn't play along.
Pröbst would have his sights set on Thenner Strasse 5, and in good weather the market square.
Then (standing) tables, benches and possibly a food and / or drinks stand should be set up - depending on the Corona situation.
As reported, a hub for an online weekly market is currently being built in Thenn.
