For the people in Thuringia, there are no major easing of the applicable corona measures in sight.
The country's health ministry has now presented a new ordinance that extends the shutdown with contact restrictions and shop closings until March 15.
It comes into force on Friday.
According to the ministry, it is possible at any time to shorten the period of validity if necessary.
In January, Bodo Ramelow's (left) government had agreed to postpone the state elections from April 25 to September 26.
However, the ordinance contains minor relaxation of existing rules.
For example, driving schools should be allowed to reopen and also be able to carry out tests.
Hairdressers can offer their services again from March 1st and tree nurseries, garden centers, gardening and florists can open.
In Thuringia, the infection rate is still stronger than in all other federal states.
According to figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and the State Chancellery, the seven-day incidence of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and seven days rose from 111.6 to 119.5 within 24 hours in the Free State.
The federal value, however, was 57.1.
Thuringia is currently the only federal state with an incidence value over 100.
Nevertheless, slight easing of the contact restrictions for families is planned.
Members of the own household and people for whom there is a right of custody or access are allowed to meet.
From Monday, primary schools and kindergartens are to open again in limited regular operations.
Grades five and six should follow from March 1st
