The IDF decided this week to return a female soldier in the Air Force who submitted an admission to the Soldiers' Admissibility Commission, which was found justified, to be reassigned to the base where she served. 2020, and one that also upset the outgoing Commissioner of Soldiers' Admissibility Commissioner, Brigadier General Eitan Dahan. Now, the soldier will wait at the base for three months for re-assignment or disqualification. The

soldier, a resident of the center of the country, enlisted in February last year. A training and technical course was transferred to serve in one of the Air Force bases. Prior to her enlistment, she volunteered to serve as a border fighter, but corps commanders urged her to change her placement and become an electrical instructor in the Air Force's technical system.

She acceded to their request, but apparently the corona crisis disrupted the planning, and she was put on a different track and not as a guide claiming "there is no standard."

Then began the adjustment difficulties of the female soldier, who told her family members that "my commander would put me under pressure. He would not let me see a doctor."

During one of the evenings in July 2020, the female soldier fainted five times in less than three hours.

The soldier's commanders ordered a paramedic, who gave her a bullet and sent her to rest.

When asked why she could not see a doctor, they replied that "we can not wake the doctor because he is asleep".

The soldier's family demanded that she be released so that she could see a doctor at a hospital.

At midnight, her family members arrived and collected her for a medical examination at a hospital, but since she arrived without a referral from a military doctor, she had to leave her credit card there to receive treatment.

At three in the morning she was finally examined by a doctor, who instructed her to perform a series of tests and stay for about a week at rest.

The day she returned to base, the soldier fainted again.

In her testimony, she said that "they said I should not go into the clinic because I faint because of anxiety and because of the corona. No doctor can examine you. I was also told that the superintendent (mental health officer) is pregnant and she does not meet soldiers because of the corona.

She and the commander of my wing decided that I was fainting due to anxiety. "

According to her family members, the commander and the captain held a telephone conversation, and in the end it was decided to send the soldier to the mental health center in Beer Yaakov.

"In the end, she sent me to a mental institution. Sorry for the word, but that's what it was," the soldier said in her testimony.

"My commander threw me there (a counter-commander, who left the place after a short time - AB).

They explained to me in the emergency room that my commander must stay and give an affidavit, must speak.

I was in the center of Beer Yaakov for seven hours.

Harassed me, in uniform.

People pulled at my hair.

I went through things I was not supposed to go through. "The

soldier's parents insisted on entering the emergency room in Be'er Ya'akov, despite the corona, and received an explanation that the soldier must see a doctor before she is examined by a psychiatrist." I arrived in Be'er Ya'akov.

There were difficult cases.

She was horrified by it, she was in shock that she had come to such a place.

I was broken and devastated, "said the mother.

From there, the soldier traveled at the initiative of her parents for tests at Assaf Harofeh hospitals.

Doctors instructed her to be hospitalized, and after a series of tests found that she had epilepsy and needed medical attention.

"The army did not want to send me for a doctor's examination because they believed I was fainting because of anxiety," she testified.

According to the parents, she stayed at home for months for medication, which included taking eight pills a day.

Recently, the soldier faced a medical committee that lowered her profile to 45.

She told committee members she was interested in continuing to serve in the military.

Military officials informed her that at this point she was returning to the same base and the same unit, even though the approach against them was found to be justified.

Following the diagnosis and the conduct surrounding the soldier's condition, her family members asked to be placed in another unit - but the IDF returned her there.

The IDF Spokesman stated in response that "the allegations that emerged from the report of the Commissioner of Soldiers' Admissibility were taken very seriously by all the relevant parties, a comprehensive investigation and refinement of procedures was carried out for all the relevant parties and horizontal learning.

For reasons of privacy and medical confidentiality, we will not be able to address the body of the matter, but we will note that no medical damage was caused to the female soldier and that she receives a full medical envelope for her needs.

We emphasize that the submission of an admission is not a mandatory condition for the transfer of a soldier from his unit.

There are specific reasons why a soldier is not returned to service in his original unit. "
