These days, in which Russia is working to mediate a prisoner deal between Israel and Syria, an unusual discovery was published on the Russian news network RT in English.

In a video that has never been seen, according to the news network, Israeli spy Eli Cohen is seen walking down a street in Damascus, near the apartment where he lived at the time.

The rare segment is, according to the Russian network, in the film of a film that belonged to a Russian military attaché who was in Damascus at the time and documented the lively life in the Syrian capital at the time.

The rare segment appears in the video at 1:06 p.m.

In a half-hour documentary, excerpts from the lost film showing street scenes from the Syrian capital, a brawl between hawkers, police stopping drivers and a market bustle in the Old City of Damascus are shown.

Alongside the tourist scenes, it was alleged that the film also contained excerpts from a military base visited by the Russian annex and the excerpt in which, according to the speakers, Eli Cohen was seen.

It is not clear if the Israeli spy was caught on camera accidentally or if there was a reason to try to photograph him, but according to the Russian channel, the scene was filmed near the Syrian Air Force headquarters, located near the spy's apartment, in the heart of Damascus.

"An exciting reminder of our Mali"

We spoke with Nadia Cohen, the spy's wife, who told "Israel Today" that she watched the video with excitement for the first time.

"This is another reminder of our Mali."

Cohen sharply attacked the State of Israel's handling of the issue, and the fact that her husband's bones are still in Syria, which was painfully strengthened this week with the deal to return the young woman who crossed the border into Syria, mediated by Russia.

"It is not a matter of the functioning of the government that was wrong. It was in fact an indescribable crime, that they brought it into Syria even though they knew the land was burning and there are suspicions about it. When you sit here among your people and you see them raising their children and grandchildren, and looking at me and "My children, there is no change, without compassion. Let's hear them, what they have in their stomachs, for each of us. Something that is indescribable. From the beginning until now."

She goes on to say: "The people are great. There was a prime minister involved in his murder, and another one that everyone knows is a murderer. The one who rewards us is the embrace of the people, before their eyes is his glory, his work. I am gaining day by day sympathy for me, she did not come "From above, but from the height of the eyes. It's amazing and there are really no words."

Cohen attacks the government and says: Nothing comes from them, from the decision makers.

Our angers .. After Meir Dagan we were like flies that expelled us.

Meir Dagan hugged us but then we finished.

Our angers do not come from a certain direction but from many directions.

There they managed to trample us.

If it's prime ministers, Rabin, Peres, President Rivlin, they're complaining about us saying murderers - but you murdered him.

They do not like it.

So what did they do?

Did not kill him?

Did not murder his children?

me?

People come like Merkel, the Pope, we bring a letter and the letter wrinkles in the hand and does not pass to anyone.

"Eli is the hero of the people. We will not be silent, we will continue to commemorate him. Soon we will be launching a campaign to build a museum in his memory. Just a week and a half ago, they made a private monument near the customs house. There were many graduates, generals. Everything came from the people. "

Every picture that comes to us is another reminder. I expect the government to show interest or care."
