Thirteen days ago, they had taken possession of land to prevent the creation of a Grand Paris station.

Wearing a yellow badge on the back of their clothing bearing the slogan "Yes to the lands of Gonesse", some arrived this Friday morning at the Pontoise tribunal de grande instance, in Val-d'Oise, their shoes still stained with mud. .

Obviously having just spent another night outside in the ZAD (zone to be defended) that they occupy in Gonesse, to prevent the construction of a station on agricultural land, these ecological activists attended a hearing to be fixed on their fate .

Because this illegal occupation by a few dozen opponents, who have now taken turns day and night for thirteen days, immediately triggered legal action to urgently demand the evacuation of the premises.

After a few hours of deliberation, the decision fell: the judges ordered an expulsion without delay, under penalty of 500 euros per day of delay from the service of the judgment.

This legal action was initiated by the head of the Île-de-France region, Valérie Pécresse, who chairs the Île-de-France public land establishment (Epfif), owner of the occupied plot.

She does not intend that a handful of activists can derail a project of general interest adopted long ago.

Because this station, which is due to open in 2027 and which is at the heart of the matter, is part of the Grand Paris Express, this vast automatic metro project around the capital.

"A fundamental project"

, launched at the hearing, Me Tanguy Salaun.

Defending the interests of Epfif, the latter highlighted the real risks of a prolonged occupation.

The activists who built “a Fort Chabrol” on this plot will not only paralyze the station construction site, according to him, but the entire project.

Namely this line 17 which, starting from the north of the capital, will serve this station but also the airports of Bourget and Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle.

A vital line, according to many elected officials, because it will finally open up a territory in total loss of economic speed.

"the peaceful occupation"

put forward by the Zadists, Me Tanguy Salaun, also told how the latter had forced the padlock to settle on this entirely fenced plot.

How again these militants began to disrupt the construction site of the station which is under their eyes, just in front of the ground which they occupy.

While workers came on Wednesday, opponents broke into the construction site, blocking the machines.

"And there was damage,

" assures the lawyer, announcing that the Société du Grand Paris, in charge of the construction of this supermetro, had filed a complaint Thursday evening.

"Things are likely to end badly"

, according to the lawyer who welcomed the decision rendered by the court.

"Land urbanization"

But for critics of the project, what will end badly is precisely if the station is born.

Because, once the latter is created, it is a vast real estate program that will emerge from the ground all around, according to them, forever destroying hectares of fertile fields.

"We must at all costs prevent the urbanization of these lands,"

assures an activist who, with dozens of others, came to the court doors on Friday morning.

Lawyer for the Collectif pour le Triangle de Gonesse and its president, Bernard Loup, who supports the ZAD, Me Étienne Ambroselli expected this decision, which fell on Friday.

"But it will not change the determination of opponents of the project

," he says, considering appealing.

Even if it is not suspensive, the appeal will maintain some pressure. ”

Above all, he could delay a possible action by the police who could, on the order of the prefect, intervene to evacuate the ZAD.

Unless its occupants choose to pack up.

The 500 euros on-call per day will weigh in their thinking.
