Khan Sheikhoun, in the southern countryside of Idlib, liberated from terrorism, witnessed an afforestation campaign during which 3,500 forest and fruitful seedlings were planted with the participation of civil, student and administrative activities in the governorate.
The afforestation campaign carried out yesterday by the Al-Bar Association and Social Services in cooperation with the Idlib Agriculture Directorate and the National Nursery in the city of Jableh in the countryside of Lattakia targeted the planting of the green fence opposite the city of Khan Sheikhoun along the Hama-Aleppo international road and a number of road bays, parks and schools in the city to restore its green cover. .
Participants in the campaign emphasized that the aim of the campaign is to rehabilitate sites affected by terrorism, fires and other encroachments, such as unfair logging, in order to restore green spaces to their previous state, explaining that participation in the campaign came from the economic, environmental and tourism importance of the tree and the need to rehabilitate sites that were destroyed by fires and affected by attacks.
