Bottles, ripped open trash cans, butts not extinguished… and even, on occasion, a washing machine or a fridge.
Because its playground has become a dumping ground, and the inhabitants of the building above it have become accustomed to throwing their waste out of the windows, an elementary school will close.
The private Catholic establishment Monseigneur Cuminal, located at the bottom of a tower in the Étouvie district in Amiens, announced Thursday that having
"become impossible to ensure the safety of pupils and staff"
, it would leave the premises permanently at the end of the school year.

," wrote Sylvie Seillier, diocesan director of Catholic education in the Somme, in a press release.
This annex of four classes of the Saint-Jean school, opened in 1997, suffers daily throws of objects and waste of all kinds thrown from the upper floors.
