Out for almost two years, the 40-year-old Spanish international hub will end the season under the colors of his debut club, FC Barcelona, as reported by the daily

And this with the idea of getting back in shape in order to be operational for one last dance with the Spanish national team at the Olympic Games, next summer, in Tokyo (July 23-August 8).
In recent weeks, the hypothesis of a return to Barça had been widely discussed in the media.
There was also talk of a potential comeback to the Lakers.
Reunion with Jasikevicius and Mirotic
At the Palau Blaugrana, the Spanish star will notably meet coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, with whom he played in the early 2000s. He will also team up with Nikola Mirotic, his teammate in selection, in Chicago and Milwaukee.

One thing is certain: he has until February 24 to be entered on the list and play at the end of the season in the Euroleague.

Pau Gasol left Barça in 2001 for the NBA, he who was chosen in third position in the Draft that year.
He first played for Memphis, before being traded to the Lakers during the 2007-08 season.
With Kobe Bryant, he won two league titles (2009, 2010).
We then saw him under the colors of Chicago (2014-16) and San Antonio (2016-19), before playing three small matches with Milwaukee in 2019. The last dates back to March 11, 2019. He had signed in favor of Portland at the start of the following season, without playing.
Ten international medals with La Roja
With FC Barcelona, the eldest of the Gasol siblings had achieved the double cup-championship in 2001, before crossing the Atlantic.
With La Roja, he won no less than ten international medals, including world gold in 2006 and European gold in 2009, 2011 and 2015, silver at the Olympics in 2008 and 2012 as well.
He was forced to forfeit before the winning campaign at the 2019 World Cup. And so it's not over ...
