Victory and qualification for the Blues!
Led by Thomas Heurtel (16 pts), Alexandre Chassang (11 pts) and Amath Mbaye (10 pts), Vincent Collet's players got the better of Montenegro this Saturday, in Podgorica (71-73), during the forward last day of the qualifiers for Euro 2022. A success, in pain, which allows them to validate their 39th participation for the European Championship.
And this before their last match in this qualifying phase, Monday, against Great Britain, still in the Montenegrin capital.
Petar Popovich (17 pts), Marko Simonovic (16 pts) and company, they are eliminated.
Euro 2022, it will be in four different countries (Germany, Italy, Georgia and the Czech Republic), from September 1 to 18, 2022. Until then, the Blues will be expected in Tokyo, for the Olympics (July 23-August 8 ), and therefore against Team GB on Monday evening.
