At least 16 foreigners were arrested after arriving in two boats at Diana Beach, Florida.
This was reported this Friday by the chief agent of the Miami Border Patrol, Thomas G. Martin, through a message on Twitter.
At the time, Martin did not elaborate on the nationalities of the detainees.
However, this Saturday he tweeted that among those arrested there are 13 Haitian citizens and 1 US citizen.
It also reported that a suspected smuggler was identified.
Both vessels involved in the incident will be seized for investigation.
