In the midst of the political scandal that unleashed the revelation of the existence of a VIP vaccination against the coronavirus in the Ministry of Health, which cost Ginés González García his job, the new head of the health portfolio, Carla Vizzotti, swore this Saturday in front of the office during a ceremony at the Quinta de Olivos.
The appointment of Vizzotti, who until now served as Secretary of Access to Health, was made official this Saturday in the Official Gazette, through decree 119/2021, signed by President Alberto Fernández and Chief of Cabinet, Santiago Cafiero .
Meanwhile, Decree 118/2021 accepts the resignation of González García, whom the national government thanks "for
the valuable services provided in the performance of his post,
" according to the text of the regulation.
The change of ministers was decided after a controversy generated when the journalist Horacio Verbitsky told that a vaccine against the coronavirus was applied in dependencies of that portfolio.

The resignation request was formalized through the Chief of Staff, and Vizzotti's appointment was confirmed after a meeting that the official held at the Government House with President Fernández.
Once Verbitsky's affirmations were known, the President "asked for explanations" from González García, after the act that the president led yesterday at noon at the Kirchner Cultural Center for the launch of the Economic and Social Council.
Born on April 1, 1972, the designated Minister of Health graduated from the University of Salvador as a doctor and specialized in the control of immunopreventable and infectious diseases, in internal medicine, and in systems and social security.
