On Friday February 19, on their Facebook account, the Charente-Maritime police reported a story that began on a street corner ... and ended in court.

For several months, an inhabitant of Rochefort had suffered intrusions into his garden.
Each time, everything in it - including vehicles - was burnt.
"After several surveillance and a careful investigation"
, the police ended up arresting one of their neighbors on Wednesday February 17th.
A dispute between cyclist and motorist
On January 16, the latter was brushed against by the car of the inhabitant of Rochefort and had complained, according to France Bleu.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly replied to the cyclist that his bicycle was poorly lit.
Placed in police custody, the cyclist, described by the police as
"somewhat resentful and indifferent to preventive measures likely to improve his safety at night",
was tried in immediate appearance on Friday 19 February.
He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, 6 of which were closed.
