Wolfratshausen

- Today we are again addressing a "street with names".

Namely the "Josef Schnellrieder Way".

Josef Schnellrieder comes from Götting near Bad Aibling.

From 1894 to 1924 he worked in Wolfratshausen as a district teacher in the elementary school, advanced training and agricultural school.

He is best known as the author of the “History of the Wolfratshausen Market”, in four volumes.

He is the first to study the history of the city.

The original in the handwriting of Josef Schnellrieder has been preserved.

It's in the city archives.

After him, the municipal council named a path in the mountain forest above (today's) old Beuerberger Strasse on December 11, 1953.
