Apart from having presented six reinforcements in society, River this month ensured the continuity of several figures from its squad.

There was a cataract of contract renewals, a key aspect for the future, not from the sporting point of view but also from the economic point of view, given that it will allow the club to better negotiate a possible transfer in the event that these players receive offers.

There were seven footballers who passed through the Monumental presidential office to stamp their signature with Rodolfo D'Onofrio and extend their stay in Núñez.

Matías, Suárez, Franco Armani, Gonzalo Montiel, Milton Casco, Robert Rojas, Nicolás De La Cruz and Jorge Carrascal have already put the hook.

Of course, the tranquility is not complete yet.

It is still missing that of Rafael Borré, whose contract expires in June of this year.

And, for now, they are far away

.

Renovated!

Nicolás De La Cruz extended his link with River until 12/31/2022, while Jorge Carrascal did so until 12/31/2024.

The situation is like this: for Borré to extend its link, River has to pay Atlético de Madrid (with which it shares ownership of the pass, 50 percent each) 3.5 million euros to buy 25% more of the Colombian's file.

That is stipulated in the contract that both clubs signed.

And, as they trusted Clarín, from Núñez they already warned that they have the money to carry out the transaction.

The problem is another ... They cannot make the payment until they reach an agreement with the contract that the player will receive in River.

As

Clarín was

able to find out

, today they are far away.

The difference would be almost double between what the club offers and what the businessmen representing the player request.

In Udaondo and Figueroa Alcorta they appeal to the goodwill of Borré, who is happy in the club and intends to stay and live in the country, where he lives with his wife, the Colombian journalist Ana Caicedo and their four-month-old Guadalupe .

From the footballer's environment they feel that Borré's contract was far behind.

And that his goals (with 46 goals he is the scorer of the Gallardo cycle) deserve a significant improvement.

But, in addition, there is another not minor issue, which delays the negotiations and is not only the power of River, but of all Argentine football, given the weakness of the economy in the country: the value of the dollar.

Especially when it comes to a foreigner, used to charging in that currency.

On the other hand, if the situation is not resolved, it can become even more difficult.

Because if no agreement is reached, the forward will be released in June.

And not only from River, but Atlético de Madrid would also lose their part of the pass.

This scenario could also unleash a complex legal situation.

Anyway, in River they do not lose hope and trust that, somehow, it will be possible to come to fruition.

As they already did with the seven players who extended their contract.

On February 2, Suárez signed the extension of their relationship until December 2023, (with a clause of 15,000,000 euros);

the 4th, Armani, until June 2023;

The 5th, Montiel, until December 2022;

On the 12th, Casco and Rojas, both until December 2023. And on Friday, De La Cruz, until December 2022 and Carrascal, until December 31, 2024.
