This morning, fifth, sixth, eleventh and twelfth grade students will return to schools in green, yellow and orange localities, in the shadow of the fact that their friends in seventh through tenth grades continue to sit at home.

In grades 5-6, classes will be held in regular groups of up to 20 students, at least three days a week at the school, and the rest of the learning will take place remotely.

Grades 11-12 will study under the same conditions, but at least two days a week at school.

The fear of high morbidity in educational institutions has not yet passed and the education system will try to adhere to the rules, so that the transition of students will be between two groups at most (mother class, English and math groups, majors, etc.) while teachers will be able to move between four groups.

In additional relief: It is possible to conduct walking tours in an open area near the educational institution within the framework of the permanent group, as well as preparatory activities for the IDF. Movements and youth organizations will also return to activities in cities where the education system is active.

And there are, as mentioned, those left behind: students living in red and orange localities do not return to schools and learning will take place only remotely, except for the matriculation exams.

However, in all localities (both red and orange) it will be possible to open up to 20 participants, without accommodation.

The estimated date for the return of seventh-tenth graders is March 9th.

Meanwhile, the education system is already preparing for Purim, which will be celebrated in schools this coming Wednesday.

According to the guidelines there will be a number of restrictions, including wearing a mask under a costume, distributing parcels only at the end of the day, to prevent eating together, and a ban on holding a happening or party.

As early as next Thursday, all students in the education system will go on the Purim holiday and return to study on Monday.

"There is a gleam in the eyes"

Returning to schools is done in the shadow of the vaccine saga and the relatively low response of both teaching staff and students aged 16-18 to get vaccinated.

Einat Barko, principal of Bialik Elementary School in Kiryat Bialik: "We are very excited to see the children. We maintain close telephone contact, but there is nothing like seeing them in the eyes - their smile and the gleam in the eyes. I stand at the gate and see the students running to the school to meet "The educational staff, and if they had told me that a year ago, I would have raised an eyebrow. It's just exciting."

On the outline she says: "Of course every day a different class will come so as not to create a crowd. We will do everything possible so that on Purim everyone will come because we want to let everyone feel the holiday, even for part of the day. The whole school staff got vaccinated first, and I am already after the vaccine "We want to get back to normal, and we all hope it was the last closure."

Marcel heart, an elementary school principal benefactor Metulla: "We are pleased to return to normal for whom the possibility of learning a routine control. Next week will emphasize mainly on the joy of life of children, that Purim last they stopped smiling and happy really."

Meanwhile, the day is scheduled for a series of Protest events around the country where classes will be held in malls. The initiative comes from parents of middle school students as a protest against the opening of the trade after their children return to school.
