ZAD du Triangle de Gonesse: "We will not leave until the station is abandoned"

2021-02-20T18:58:26.917Z

While justice ordered the eviction of the "area to be defended", environmental activists have decided to remain, as determined

On the ZAD du Triangle de Gonesse (Val-d'Oise), drills, screws, hammers and nails are once again at work this Saturday afternoon.

Here, we build an additional dormitory.

There, we fix the posts of a football goal.

Further on, we finish the structure of a small dome started during the week.

The court decision on Friday does not seem to have damaged the motivation and the will of the inhabitants and supporters of the "area to be defended" to continue to develop the premises.

Triangle de Gonesse: justice orders the expulsion of the ZAD

However, the environmental activists opposed to the Grand Paris Express station which is to be built on the Triangle, installed since February 7 on a plot belonging to the Ile-de-France public land establishment (EPFIF), are now threatened with evacuation.

The court of Pontoise indeed ordered this Friday evening the immediate expulsion of the ZAD.

To be executed, the use of the police must however be requested by the prefect.

The summary judge also attached this decision to a penalty of 500 euros per day of delay for the Collective of the Triangle de Gonesse (CPTG) and its president Bernard Loup.

The latter was attacked as support for the ZAD.

This could start as soon as the decision is served, on Monday.

"In any case, the fight will continue"

But the inhabitants of the ZAD - between 50 and 100 they say - have made their decision.

"We discussed it Friday evening and we will not leave until the station is abandoned," said Siamak, one of the Zadists.

And we count on everyone to help us in this fight.

This subject must be in the public sphere.

"

“We stay,” confirms Bernard Loup.

Afterwards, if they have to fire us by force, well we will do passive resistance.

But in any case, the fight will continue.

What about the penalty?

“That's not what keeps me from sleeping.

I may be unconscious but it takes more to confuse me, especially with the support you have.

And then 500 euros divided by about forty people, it's not expensive hotel nights, ”smiles the president of the CPTG.

If necessary, jackpots could be launched.

Abandonment of T4 at Roissy: the train and metro projects to the airport on the hot seat

For the activist, the most urgent thing is that the government take a decision.

It is indeed the State that must decide on the future of the Triangle de Gonesse, still pending since the cancellation of the EuropaCity mega complex project at the end of 2019.

“If he has to keep the station, he has to explain to us why.

He has been trying to urbanize the Triangle for 40 years without a territory plan.

And today, there is still none, the only existing project is Carma.

A reference to the "pole of excellence, focused on agriculture, health and food" carried by Cooperation for an agricultural, rural and metropolitan ambition of the future (Carma).

"We need more people to mobilize"

A perspective that appeals to the supporters of the ZAD.

“It's a real proposition that avoids the concreting of agricultural land.

I wonder what sane person could be against when she finds out about it, ”said Stamina, 30, who had come from Paris to lend a hand for the day.

Ditto for Jean-Claude.

“Carma is super interesting, judge the retiree who came to support the ZAD with a few friends of yellow vests like him.

But we need more people to mobilize, I'm sure the majority think no less, now they have to act.

"

Valérie Pécresse in favor of the evacuation of the ZAD

Opinions that are far from being shared by all.

Many elected officials and local actors are standing up against the ZAD.

The president (Libres!) Of the Ile-de-France region, Valérie Pécresse, also president of the board of directors of the EPFIF, welcomed on Friday evening the court decision and asked for its "rapid application".

"It will allow the resumption in good conditions of the preparatory work for the realization of this future essential line to open up the territories of the north of the Ile-de-France and in order to offer them the best development opportunities", assures- she.

Same story on the side of the mayor (PS) of Gonesse who hopes that the "opponents will evacuate the premises without delay".

But Jean-Pierre Blazy, defender of the Triangle station, to also call on the State to take “its responsibilities” and to “add to legal security a political security for the project”.
