There was particularly great interest in the section on Rosenheimer Strasse between Orleansstrasse and Rosenheimer Platz.
According to the city, more than 300 people were connected digitally, more than 200 in the online debate on Theresien- / Gabelsbergerstraße.
Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) emphasized that it was important to him to involve the citizens closely in the planning.
According to Mayor Katrin Habenschaden (Greens), the mood was clear: “The people of Munich * want the pop-up cycle paths back, and as soon as possible.” Once the city council has given the go-ahead, the administration will quickly implement the temporary cycle paths .
Greens wanted to stick to the pop-up cycle paths even in winter
The yellow marked lanes on five different streets in the city area had already existed between June and October last year.
After a majority vote by the city council, these disappeared again in November.
To the annoyance of the Greens, who wanted to hold on to the traffic attempt over the winter months.
Now the short-term cycle paths should make a comeback, this time with a white marking.
The administration is also commissioned to work out a permanent structural solution.
The traces are planned again in Rosenheimer Strasse between Orleansstrasse and Rosenheimer Platz, on Theresienstrasse, on Elisenstrasse and on Gabelsbergerstrasse.
This year, construction work by the Stadtwerke is preventing the short-term cycle path on Zweibrückenstrasse.
The Munich ADFC chairman and spokesman for the cycling decision, Andreas Schön, was also satisfied with the information events held so far: "This type of citizen participation can certainly serve as a model for further action, but must also be promoted quickly with other projects." Schön warned that viable solutions still had to be found for a number of important bicycle traffic connections such as the Isarparallele, Schwanthaler Strasse or Lindwurmstrasse.
