Exceptional visit to Israel: Egypt's Minister of Energy, Tarek al-Mullah, landed in Israel a short time ago, as the personal guest of his Israeli counterpart, Dr. Yuval Steinitz.

This is the first time in 15 years that an Egyptian minister, other than a foreign or intelligence minister, has visited Israel.

Al-Mullah will meet with Steinitz and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

They will discuss mainly the issue of gas exports as well as the East Med project - the gas pipeline planned between the Middle East and Europe.

Egypt yesterday asked Israel to make concessions for a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas, the Emirati news network Al-Arabiya reported today (Saturday).

In the Gaza Strip, four Israeli prisoners are being held by the terrorist organization: Lt. Hadar Goldin, Sgt. Oron Shaul, Abra Mengistu and Hisham a-Sayed. The report comes after a Bezeq deal with the Assad regime in Syria was completed on Tuesday.

The outline of the deal may be similar to that published in foreign sources with Syria: combining prisoner exchanges with the supply of vaccines or the transfer of funds for the purchase of vaccines to Gaza residents.
