An official Russian media outlet has released new footage of spy Eli Cohen in Damascus, as part of a documentary about his work in the country.
According to the RT channel, the documentation, in which Cohen was briefly seen walking down the street, was filmed by Russia's military attache in Syria in the 1960s.
It is not clear whether the Israeli spy was documented accidentally or intentionally.
According to RT, the video was filmed near the Syrian Air Force headquarters, in the heart of the city's government area, and near Cohen's own apartment.
Cohen, whose information he passed on to Israel has dramatically helped him prepare for Syria's threats, was executed in 1965 after his identity was revealed.

Cohen's bones are still being held by Damascus, and the documentary was released a few days after Russia mediated between Syria and Israel in a deal to release a young Israeli woman who crossed the border last month.
In return, Israel released two Syrian shepherds, and according to foreign reports, also transmitted vaccines against the Russian-made corona virus.
