The attempts of modern Western liberalism to influence the visions of Arab youth and their intellectual and cultural formation, and the employment of advanced technology and its tools, themes that were discussed in a discussion session held by the Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh today.
The session titled poetry and American liberalism as a model came within a series of seminars entitled Resistance to Cultural Invasion, presented by the media, Raghad Al-Souda, and in which the critic and poet Radwan Falaha participated, who interviewed the poet Muhammad Khaled Al-Khader in several points in the context of the proposed title, the most important of which focused on American and Zionist plans hostile to the Arab people from Portal of culture and thought.
The critic Falaha explained that this event opens its intellectual dialogue between the original and the intruder culturally in the midst of the war that the colonial powers have been waging for a long time against our region and relies mainly on the destruction of culture and the systematic distortion of our values, considering that the intellectual and cultural fortification, morally and nationally, has become an urgent matter with the activation of conscious dialogue. Intellectually and enhancing youth awareness of the need to preserve our civilization and affirm its distinct identity.
The poet Al-Khader read some of his texts in resistant literature, combining modernity and originality, in which he addressed national sentiments and the necessity to defend dignity and identity in their national and cultural dimensions, indicating that the conspiracy is dangerous and targets all thinkers, intellectuals and peoples, and that the intellectual is the force that his homeland uses in the time of need and that his knowledge and patriotism is imperative for him. Some intellectuals and writers from the audience presented discussions, interventions and questions about the contents of the session and the concept of resistance to modern liberalism with its subversive objectives seeking to spread chaos and destroy the intellectual and spiritual sanctities.
