The whale that was ejected to Nitzanim Beach died as a result of an infection - according to the autopsy findings published today (Sunday) by the Nature Authority and the Veterinary Institute in Beit Dagan.
During the autopsy, substances from the oil pollution were found in the whale's body, which, according to estimates by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, were emitted from a vessel that passed off the coast of Israel.
The materials were transferred for testing.
