For more than 10 years,
inflation
has once again become the main concern of Argentines.
It shares a podium with insecurity, corruption and also with other economic woes, such as unemployment and recession.
In this context, it is understood that people are not very satisfied with the main people in charge of directing the accounts.
And this was reflected in a
new and particular survey
accessed by
Clarín
, where the last Ministers of Economy of the Nation were evaluated.
From
Amado Boudou
to
Martín Guzmán
.
The result?
They all failed.
But some did worse than others: for example,
Nicolas Dujovne
, who finished last.
The study that shows the images of these leaders is from
Real Time Data (RTD)
, a consultancy that was born a few years ago and does daily update surveys that it sells to clients in the country and abroad.
Every month it publishes a national survey with current data and some particular measurements like this one.
His last work was done between February 2 and 8 and included
950 cases
.
In the chapter on the evaluations of the leaders, the firm led by political scientist
Nicolás Solari
stated: "Indicate how you evaluate the work done by each of the economy ministers that Argentina had in the last ten years."
Five options were given: "Very good", "Good", "Bad", "Very bad" and "You do not know".
In addition to Boudou (2009-2011) and Guzmán (2019 until today),
Hernán Lorenzino
(2011-2013),
Axel Kicillof
(2013-2015),
Alfonso Prat-Gay
(2015-2016),
Nicolás Dujovne
(2017
) passed through the filter
-2019) and
Hernán Lacunza
(2019).
The first four mentioned officials of Cristina Kirchner, the last three of Mauricio Macri.
All seven finished with a red differential.
In other words, their efforts had a more negative than positive evaluation.
With this logic,
the least bad was Guzmán
: he combined 37% of image in favor (16% "Very good" and 21% "Good") and 47% against (29% "Bad" and 18% "Very bad") .
The rest said they did not know him or preferred not to comment on his management.
His balance turned out - 10.
At the other end is Dujovne, the
economic face of the macrista debacle
.
The former TV panelist added 17% positive (2% "Very good" and 15% "Good") and 67% negative (24% "Bad" and 43% "Very bad").
It presents the worst differential: - 50 points.
Amado Boudou and Axel Kicillof, at the end of 2013, when they were Vice President and Minister of Economy of Cristina Kirchner.
Lorenzino and Boudou were hardly better
.
- The former minister famous for his phrase "I want to go" - in the middle of a report, he did not want to talk about inflation - is the least known (33% of "You do not know"), but those who remember him do so in general bad: it has 1% of "Very good", 12% of "Good" (13% positive), 24% of "Bad" and 30% of "Very bad" (54% negative).
Balance - 41.
- The former vice, who delays his return to jail for the Ciccone case and continues with house arrest, combines 26% of positive (10% of "Very good" and 16% of "Good") and 64% of negative (14 % of "Bad" and 50% of "Very bad").
Differential - 38.
On an
intermediate scale
- from worst to best - were
Lacunza, Kicillof and Prat-Gay
.
The last Macri minister finished with - 27 points of differential (24% positive and 51% negative), the first with - 22 (32% positive and 54% negative) and the current governor with - 24 (36% positive and 60% negative).
