Four well-known entrepreneurs considered close to the clan

) were arrested by the police in an investigation on the penetration of the Camorra in the economic fabric of the province of Caserta.
Two disqualification measures were also notified, to the protemporary manager of the technical office of the Municipality of Capua, seriously suspected of disturbed freedom of enchantments and corruption, and to a bank employee who was on duty in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, accused of having allowed money transfers cash on bank accounts attributable to the clan.

The recipients of the precautionary measures in prison, issued by the investigating judge at the request of the Dda of Naples, are Domenico Pagano, considered entrepreneur of reference of the Schiavone faction of the Casalesi clan, owner of the "Immobiliare Generale", which is among the assets that were kidnapped.
The prison was also ordered for Domenico Farina, considered seriously suspected for external competition in a mafia-type association, sole administrator of Prisma Costruzioni SRL, a company attributable to the collaborator of justice Francesco Zagaria.
The "Prisma" was awarded various public contracts, obtained, according to the investigators, with the connivance of various local administrators.
The investigations by the Guardia di Finanza, on the other hand, concerned the Caserta entrepreneurial group attributable to cousins Giuseppe and Francesco Verazzo, respectively 56 and 61 years old, considered seriously suspected for external complicity in mafia-type associations.
Their area of expertise is that of building construction where, using the intimidation force of the Casalesi clan and thanks to the complacency of local administrators, they managed to win public contracts in the Caserta area.
The two had risen to the role of spokesman for Nicola Schiavone, son of the chieftain Francesco, in the Capua area, ensuring electoral support for local political groups linked to members of the Clan.
The Guardia di Finanza has reconstructed the economic assets accumulated over the last 20 years by the suspects, also through their families and companies attributable to them, allowing the adoption of precautionary measures aimed at the confiscation hypotheses provided for by the anti-mafia legislation.
In particular, with regard to the cousins Verazzo and Pagano, following a detailed reconstruction of the numerous assets held, also carried out through the enhancement of reports of suspicious transactions generated by the anti-money laundering prevention system, a total of about two business complexes were seized and company shares for a value of approximately 15 million euros.
