Minsk-SANA
Syria, represented by its embassy in the Belarusian capital Minsk, participated in the 28th session of the Minsk International Book Fair under the slogan (Books uniting peoples and states) along with 281 exhibitors from 20 countries, including a number of embassies.
The Syrian Embassy’s pavilion in the exhibition included a collection of cultural and tourist books, publications, and brochures available to it in both Arabic and Russian, with the participation of the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students in Belarus.
The Syrian pavilion at the exhibition, which was organized from the 18th to the 21st of this February, visited the Belarusian Minister of Information Lutsk Igor Vladimirovich and the Minister of Education Karpenko Igor Vasilevich, who discussed with the Syrian ambassador to Belarus Muhammad al-Amrani ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries, and it was agreed to continue communication and meetings during the period. The next two ministers also expressed their thanks for the permanent participation of the Syrian embassy in the exhibition.
The pavilion was also visited by a number of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of the countries participating in the exhibition, as well as a large number of Belarusian citizens.
The exhibition was also visited by a number of senior Belarusian officials, including Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Foreign Minister Vladimir Macki and others, and on the sidelines of the exhibition a number of cultural and literary seminars, seminars and meetings were held between visitors, participants, and men of literature and culture.
