The Education Bureau stated today (22) that it will issue a circular to all schools in Hong Kong, inviting elementary and secondary schools to participate in the first general knowledge quiz on Chinese history and culture for all primary schools in Hong Kong, and "actively promote Chinese History and Chinese Culture School Annual "Grand Prize" activities to encourage students to deepen their understanding of Chinese history and culture, and create a positive learning atmosphere.

The bureau also stated that it will organize the "Chinese History Decoding KOL Recruitment" for the middle school group in conjunction with the newly revised Chinese history curriculum introduced by junior high schools this school year.

A spokesperson for the bureau said, "Inheritance·Thinking to Create-Actively Promote Chinese History and Chinese Culture School Annual Awards" aims to encourage students to learn more about Chinese history and Chinese culture through the promotion of self-directed learning and e-learning, and rewards and praises for active promotion Schools, teachers and students of Chinese history and Chinese culture.

Will recruit "Chinese History Decoding KOL"

The spokesman pointed out that the bureau, in conjunction with the newly revised Chinese history curriculum introduced by junior high schools this school year, launched the "Think. Create. Chinese History-Student Self-study Platform", and organized the ""History and Taste" Hong Kong Secondary School Students Competition" and ""Chinese History Decoding" KOL Recruitment" (Secondary School Group).

All schools participating in the self-study platform and student activities will automatically compete for the annual award, and no additional registration is required.

The 10 schools with the highest total scores will be awarded the "Annual Awards for Actively Promoting Chinese History and Chinese Culture".

Primary 4 and Primary 6 students can participate in the quiz

As for the primary school quiz competition, a spokesman for the bureau said that the competition is divided into preliminary rounds, semi-finals and finals, and the target is for primary 4 to 6 students in Hong Kong.

Primary schools may nominate no less than 20 students to participate in the preliminary stage.

The preliminary round will be held online from April to May, while the semi-finals and finals will be held on TV from June to July.

In addition to the championship, first runner-up and second runner-up awards, the competition also has the "18 District Outstanding Performance Award" and the "Most Active Participating School Award".

Winners will be presented with trophies, certificates and book coupons.

The bureau also pointed out that the competition has begun to accept registration today and will end on March 19.

The bureau will provide a series of reference materials suitable for primary school students to read, and the materials will be uploaded to the competition website.
